Staying on top of things (and How I Don’t)

We all procrastinate. Website, magazine, knitting project, TV show, something else — what’s your favorite procrastination destination?

I’ve become quite a heavy procrastinator as late. This could be telling me something. I always say I never get bored. I can always find something to do. I just might be lying to myself. Anyhow… I find social media sites good for mind numbing ways to procrastinate. Facebook used to be my place of choice… but lately it just hasn’t been fulfilling it’s duties in that regard. It’s just becoming another thing I do when I don’t want to do something else. I used Soul Pancake in the same way. It’s been quite hit or miss in the last year or two… I forget that I’ve been using that site for almost five years. It’s been a mainstay. Sometimes, I just pick up my guitar and attempt to noodle. I don’t noodle like I once did, but maybe its something I should work on (until I set it down because I don’t want to… this procrastination thing is a pain even on things that I know would be good.). Also… that punctuation just made a face. The blog site here has been a place that I’ve enjoyed coming to to get out of other self made obligations… from doing dishes to checking the mail to even just standing up… this place has served as a good distraction for a month or two now. I don’t really have a favorite place, but I procrastinate way too much. It’s funny when you notice how much you procrastinate and then you make it a key point to not procrastinate while you find other stuff to not procrastinate on while you procrastinate on the stuff that you said you wouldn’t. How’s that for a run on sentence? I don’t have a favorite place. I just tend to set things down after a couple of minutes and find something else to suck away the time. I really should work on that.
