Are you as comfortable in front of a camera as behind one? Being
written about, as well as writing?
I like to think I’m comfortable in front of the camera. I probably always look a little silly, but I think that that is alright. Behind one…I still haven’t quite gotten used to that. If someone asks me to take a picture for them, it usually takes a few. I guess the “back seat” photography (I like that term) kind of ruins it for me.
I’m ok with being written about (spoken about, what have you). I guess that is because most people will find those really good things to say. They talk you up. Not all of them, but most will try to make you seem better. Writing about myself…I guess I’m trying that with this exercise. Everyone likes talking about themselves when they have an audience. It’s a little different when you don’t have someone sitting opposite of you asking you questions and engaging you. There’s not so much back and forth in writing about yourself, is there? I haven’t seen it yet. I don’t think I’m all that confident in that area just yet. I’ll keep working on it.
